Staring Out:
If just starting to play, you can't just jump
into attacking foes. First you must build your
buildings, which will give you better resources,
and better armies. During this period you should
get them made as fast as possible.
Once you have about 1 turn of protection left,
you can wait a few days and build up 1350 turns, so
you can take them all in one session (if possible),
exposing only a small window of time for others to
attack.
If you cannot take so many turns in such a
short span of time, you should instead start
training an army about 50-100 turns before
protection runs out. However, the army types you
make will be inferior, and you should expect to
lose.
People leaving your kingdom?:
There's a good chance that morale is low if
people are leaving. Only with 85% or higher morale
can you be sure people won't leave.
The best solution is to have a human player
cast Fireworks in the Sky on you, or else you have
to tough it out. If the problem persists, you need
to:
1. Make sure you're not the target of a
Massive Depression spell,
2. Make sure everyone is employed, well-fed and
paid,
3. Make sure you're not running out of
resources, and
4. Make sure you're working on making a
building. Sometimes having no buildings can keep
your morale from improving.
Workers:
Never let a turn go by with builders unused. If
not building, put the builders to work on
resources.
Do not train Wizards right away before you can
cast spells. You need those people to make more
resources. You can always mess with spells later.
To avoid unemployment morale trouble, make sure
that you have clicked on Unemployment Placement
(under the Options menu) to put them somewhere.
Making food is always a good idea. Also make sure
you use the auto-placement, even if you must
experiment to get it to do what you want.
